Nicolas Cage says a giant Malibu sinkhole has left him 'a little bit homeless'
Nicolas Cage told fans at L.A. Comic-Con he can't go back to his Malibu home because a huge sinkhole has made the house unlivable for now.

Nicolas Cage has a new way of describing his living situation. The Oscar winner says he is "a little bit homeless" right now.
He dropped the line while chatting with fans at L.A. Comic-Con over the weekend. The actor explained that he can't return to his pricey Malibu house because the place is not safe to live in at the moment.
Some fans found the remark a little tone-deaf coming from a star with a multimillion-dollar beach home. Still, he is not exactly roughing it.
A hole that keeps growing
The trouble is a huge sinkhole that is putting the foundation of the house at risk. Photos of the site show the gap stretching out from the driveway and into the road.
People living on his street were told to leave. Malibu officials have also labeled the sinkhole an emergency.
Hotel life for now
Cage says he has been bouncing between a string of hotels while the problem gets sorted out.
Even so, he still had Halloween plans. He said he intended to take his daughter out trick-or-treating and then settle in to watch "The Shining" at his temporary place.
