Lil Baby surprises a woman facing eviction with a new car and a full year of rent

Lil Baby helped turn one of the hardest days of a woman's life into a fresh start.

The Atlanta rapper teamed up with creator MD Motivator to surprise a woman named Mia and her daughter in a video that spread quickly across social media. Mia told the pair she was selling her art collection so she would not be evicted the next day.

A painting for a stranger

MD Motivator told Mia he wanted a painting as a birthday gift for his mom but had no money. She handed one over for free and asked him to think of her when he prayed. Her daughter then walked up to check on her mother and the creator revealed that Lil Baby wanted a painting too.

A fresh start

Lil Baby asked the two to trust him for a few minutes and led them blindfolded to the surprise. When the blindfolds came off he told Mia that a brand-new car was part of her fresh start and that he would pay her insurance as well.

Mia grabbed his arm and broke down. MD Motivator then added that they would cover a full year of her rent. "You're no longer getting evicted," he told her. Her daughter could be heard saying no in disbelief.

Lil Baby wiped tears from his face with his shirt and hugged Mia as she insisted he take one of her paintings home. He later wrote online that he was grateful to be part of the greatness she spreads.

Giving back at home

The surprise followed his sixth annual Back to School Fest in Atlanta. The event gave 4,000 students school supplies and clothes along with haircuts and food. Through his Jones Project he has also helped fix up the basketball courts at Oakland City Park and started a $150,000 scholarship fund at his old high school.
