Nelly says Taylor Swift once paid him $50,000 stuffed inside a fast food sack
Nelly says Taylor Swift flew him to Houston in 2011 for a surprise "Hot in Herre" moment and paid him $50,000 cash tucked in a McDonald's bag.
Nelly has a fun story about the time Taylor Swift asked him for a favor. He says the payment showed up in a very unusual wrapper.
A surprise phone call
The rapper shared the tale during a sit-down on "The Breakfast Club" this week. He said Swift reached out to him with no warning back in 2011.
She had a big request. According to Nelly, Swift and her pals had come up with choreography for "Hot in Herre" on the eve of a Houston concert. She wanted him to fly in from St. Louis to join her on stage.
The perks on the table
Swift sweetened the deal with a seat on her private jet. She also offered him a stay in the Presidential Suite at the Four Seasons.
Then came the money. Nelly says he asked for his fee to be handed over in a McDonald's bag. He did not explain why. He says her manager Robert Allen went along with it and delivered $50,000 that way.
Friends for years
The two have stayed close since then. Nelly has made a habit of popping up at her concerts to perform.
In July he even attended her New York City wedding to Travis Kelce. His wife Ashanti came along.
