Kaley Cuoco's name has come up in the bitter legal battle between Nick Carter and one of the women accusing him of sexual assault. Accuser Melissa Schuman says she confided in the actress days after the alleged attack.

What the deposition says

A transcript of Schuman's deposition from April shows the former Dream singer was pressed on who she told about the alleged assault. She testified that she opened up to Cuoco on the last day of filming in April 2003.

Cuoco and Schuman both starred in the film "The Hollows" with Carter. The movie was released in 2004.

Schuman also testified that she got a text from Carter after she went back to the set. She claims he later called her and labeled her a "manipulative bitch."

The original accusation

Schuman claims Carter assaulted her inside a Santa Monica apartment around 2003. She says she was 18 at the time and he was 22.

She filed a police report in 2017. No criminal charges were ever filed.

Schuman and another woman, Shannon Ruth, have each sued Carter over separate alleged assaults.

Carter fights back

The Backstreet Boys singer firmly denies the allegations. He is countersuing and claims the women conspired to shake him down.

Carter says Schuman cost him millions in business and endorsement deals. His suit describes the night in question as consensual and says the two fell asleep next to each other.

"At no point in time did [Nick] sexually assault [Melissa] or any other person," the lawsuit states.

Cuoco has not publicly commented on the testimony. Both cases are still ongoing.
