Harry Styles has worn feather boas, sequins and ruffles on stage. On Halloween night he went for something a little less glamorous. He became a rat.

The singer strutted out at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Oct. 31, in a fuzzy brown rodent suit with pink feet and a long pink tail. He added a pair of sunglasses and carried a huge foam slice of pizza under his arm.

New Yorkers got the joke right away. The costume was a tribute to the city's legendary pizza rat, the little creature caught on camera years ago dragging a whole slice down the stairs of a subway station. The clip has been a local treasure ever since.

The whole band joined in

Styles was not the only one in costume. His band dressed as New York landmarks and city icons, with one musician playing the Statue of Liberty. The stage looked like a tourist postcard with a giant rodent in the middle.

Later in the night he ditched most of the suit but held on to the ears and the tail. He finished the show in brown shorts and a plain white T-shirt that read I am a rat. Fans held up their phones and screamed like it was the best outfit he had ever worn.

Fans also spotted actress Zoë Kravitz in the crowd dancing and singing along. She had her own clever costume going, a mini dress made to look like a plastic shopping bag printed with the classic thank you, have a nice day message. The two have been linked since the summer of 2025 and are reported to be engaged.

Two nights of Harryween

The rat was the closer of two Halloween themed shows. On Friday night he dressed as Elvis Presley in a white jumpsuit and cape. He then changed into a copy of the outfit he wore at 16 to audition for The X Factor in 2010 and sang the same Stevie Wonder song he chose that day, Isn't She Lovely.

Saturday wrapped a 30-night stand at the Garden for his Together, Together world tour. He heads to Australia to finish the year and returns to North America in April 2027.

It was a long residency. He ended it as the most famous rat in Manhattan.
