Christina Applegate admits her MS misdiagnosis has left her feeling lost and still searching for answers
Christina Applegate says learning she never had MS has shaken her sense of self. She is now being tested for related illnesses and feels very frustrated.

Christina Applegate is struggling to figure out who she is now that multiple sclerosis is no longer part of her story.
The "Dead to Me" star opened up on the newest episode of "MeSsy," the podcast she hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Their guest this time was Jack Osbourne.
Jack told the pair that he sometimes feels like "a bit of a fraud" at MS events. He explained that many people he meets there are dealing with far tougher symptoms than he is.
'I don't even have it anymore'
That gave Christina an opening to joke about her own situation. "Talk about being a fraud. I don't even have it anymore," she said.
Jamie-Lynn and Jack were quick to comfort her. Both told her she still "qualifies" as an "honorary member" of the MS community.
Christina said living with the diagnosis for so long made it a huge part of her identity. Letting go of that has not been easy. She said she has "some serious work" to do on her mindset and added, "I need to get my s*** together."
Still no clear answer
The bigger problem is that she still does not know what is actually wrong. She called herself "f***ing frustrated" over the lack of answers.
Doctors are now checking her for what she described as "sister diseases" to MS.
Christina shared last month that she had been misdiagnosed. For five years before that, she had lived believing the autoimmune illness was hers.
