Michael Lohan has no sympathy to spare for Perez Hilton. The father of Lindsay Lohan went after the celebrity blogger in a new podcast interview even though Perez was recently hospitalized after trying to take his own life.

"I have one word for him: Karma. How's that? What goes around, comes around," Michael said.

He argued that Perez has spent years saying "a lot of horrible things about people" and he took aim at the online fundraiser that was set up to support the blogger's family.

Fundraiser draws his anger

That campaign was started by Perez's friend Tom D'Angora. The money goes to Perez's mother Teresita Lavandeira to help her cover the added costs of caring for his three children. Michael called the effort "pathetic."

"To use something like that, for financial gain, is beyond disgusting. And I don't dislike him, I pity him," he said.

The two men have a long history. Michael has been at odds with Perez for years over the way the blogger wrote about the Lohan family.

Where Perez stands now

Perez was hospitalized in August after a suicide attempt. He suffered broken bones there and was also treated for an overdose. He was placed on a psychiatric hold.

He has been getting care at a residential facility. In September his three children came to see him there for a supervised visit. His team has not responded to a request for comment on Michael's remarks.
