Paramedics took a patient from Christina Applegate's home days before her MS news
Paramedics took a patient with stomach pain from Christina Applegate's Hollywood Hills home on Oct. 17, days before she said she does not have MS.

Paramedics were called to Christina Applegate's house in Los Angeles shortly before she shared that she had been misdiagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson says crews went to the actress' Hollywood Hills home on October 17. The call was for a patient who was reportedly having abdominal pain.
Who was the patient?
The patient was taken to a nearby hospital for care. It is not known who that person was. It is also unclear whether the emergency had anything to do with Applegate herself.
The call came three days before Applegate announced on Tuesday that she does not have MS. For more than five years she had believed she was living with the disease.
A new diagnosis but the same struggle
Applegate and Jamie-Lynn Sigler host the "MeSsy" podcast together and that is where she revealed the update. She said doctors decided the first diagnosis was a mistake.
She was clear that her health battle is not over. She called it "the same game with a different name." She told Sigler her symptoms have not improved since the MS label was dropped. In some ways she feels worse.
On a second episode Cedars-Sinai neurologist Dr. Marwa Kaisey said MS misdiagnoses happen fairly often and affect about one in five patients. She explained that a new diagnosis does not make the symptoms go away and care still centers on managing them.
Months in the hospital
Applegate has spoken openly on the podcast about her health, including many hospital trips and treatments.
Her most recent hospital stay in Los Angeles began in late March and lasted into August. The reason for that long stay was never made public. Her representative has not commented on the paramedics call.
