Young Brewers fan dresses as a beaten-up Dodgers player for his school Halloween party
A day after Milwaukee swept the Dodgers in the NLCS a young Brewers fan wore a bloodied Dodgers uniform to his school party with a perfect punchline.

Milwaukee's sweetest postseason trash talk did not come from the clubhouse. It came from a grade-schooler in a bloodied Dodgers uniform.
One day after the sweep
The Brewers finished off a four-game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series on Thursday night. By Friday a young Brewers fan in Wisconsin had already turned the result into a Halloween costume for his school party.
He showed up as a beaten-up Dodgers player. He wore the full look with a Dodgers jersey and baseball pants plus fake blood smeared on for effect. Then he delivered the line with the timing of a seasoned comic. "Ow, I got beat up by the Brewers," he groaned in a short video his mom Alexa Dobry shared online.
The internet joins the bit
Fans could not get enough. Some wondered why a Halloween party was happening two weeks early. One sharp reply guessed it was a party deferred from last year, a double jab at the Dodgers' famous deferred contracts and at the way Los Angeles swept Milwaukee in the same round a year ago.
That is what made the costume land so well. The Dodgers came in as two-time defending champions with a rotation full of aces. They led in all four games and still could not win one. It was the first NLCS sweep the franchise has ever suffered.
A city still smiling
Milwaukee won a big-league best 103 games this season and is headed to its first World Series since 1982. Fans have waited 44 years for this kind of October and a little playful gloating feels earned.
The young comedian may want to save the costume. The World Series opens Oct. 23 in Milwaukee and real Halloween is still two weeks away.
