The Milwaukee Brewers have a new song stuck in their heads and it isn't "Roll Out the Barrel."

A catchy track by local rapper Foenem, simply titled "Milwaukee Brewers," has become the team's unofficial anthem during its run to the World Series. Players sing it in the clubhouse. It plays on the team bus. It has been the soundtrack of the postseason since the National League Division Series against San Diego.

Born on TikTok

Foenem first posted the 1-minute, 39-second song on TikTok on Oct. 4. It has been viewed more than 522,000 times since then. Six days later he released a music video filmed outside American Family Field that has drawn more than 66,000 views.

The rapper has also made songs about the Milwaukee Central Library, the Milwaukee County Zoo and the Green Bay Packers. This one sets high-pitched vocals over a hip-hop beat and repeats the team's name 22 times, which makes it almost impossible to shake.

Stuck in the clubhouse

Closer Trevor Megill belted out the chorus during Thursday night's celebration after Milwaukee clinched the National League pennant in Los Angeles. "I love that song!" he said.

"We hear it probably eight to 10 times a day," pitcher DL Hall said.

Robert Gasser looked it up on Apple Music and has not been able to get it out of his head since. "It's catchy in a way, in its own way," he said. "We're on the bus and we're listening to music. 'Milwaukee Brewers!'"

Two Brewers get a shoutout

Only two players are named in the lyrics. One is ace Jacob Misiorowski, the front-runner for the NL Cy Young Award. The other is captain Christian Yelich. Misiorowski, a country and rock fan, found out he was in the song only after friends kept flooding him with messages about it.

"That's all they play for the clubhouse, like the little quick snippet of the beginning," Misiorowski said.

Next stop, the World Series

The Brewers won a franchise-record 103 games this season and swept the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS to reach the World Series for the first time in 44 years. Game 1 is set for Oct. 23 in Milwaukee against the winner of the Cleveland and Tampa Bay American League Championship Series.

"The algorithm led us to a good place," Megill said.
