The British SNL takes a crude shot at Shane Gillis over his gym monologue and on-air slip
Weekend Update host Ania Magliano needled Shane Gillis on SNL UK over his gym joke and live F-bomb while James Austin Johnson brought his Trump to London.

Shane Gillis is now taking heat from across the Atlantic. The British edition of "Saturday Night Live" went after the comedian over his recent turn hosting the American show.
The gym joke and the slip
That hosting gig drew plenty of attention. In his opening monologue Gillis used the word "whores" to describe women who go to the gym. Later in the night he let an uncensored F-bomb fly during a live sketch.
The slip came on the October 10 episode while he played the son of the Cat in the Hat. He caught the mistake right away. At the end of the sketch he told viewers he was sorry about what happened earlier.
Actor Dan Levy had already criticized the gym bit. He called it misogynistic.
A pointed reminder on SNL UK
On the British version's "Weekend Update," host Ania Magliano told Gillis he cannot use that word on live television. She then capped her mock refresher on FCC rules with a crude insult of her own that cannot be printed here.
An American Trump in London
Gillis was not the only "SNL" name making noise in Britain. James Austin Johnson also made an unannounced visit. He is the cast member behind the President Donald Trump impression in New York and he brought it to the London stage.
In the sketch his Trump interrupts a meeting at Downing Street between Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine. He joked about trading jobs with Burnham. Along the way he mocked a long list of UK headlines from politics and celebrity news.
The crossover lands while the American show is on a planned break. Its next new episode airs October 31 with "Obsession" star Inde Navarrette as host.
