Selma Blair's defense ties airport chaos to skipped MS meds and a fall
Selma Blair's lawyers say missed neurological medication doses and a head injury left her severely confused before the alleged Delta flight and airport attacks.

Selma Blair's defense offered a medical explanation Monday for the alleged meltdown that led to her arrest after a Delta flight to New York.
What her lawyers told the court
During her arraignment her attorneys said several missed doses of a powerful medication used for serious neurological symptoms left her in "severe confusion." They also cited a fall in which she hit her head. The remarks appeared to reference her long public battle with multiple sclerosis.
The plea and conditions
She entered a not-guilty plea on a pair of second-degree assault counts. Bail was fixed at $20,000 in cash or a $60,000 bond and she walked free Monday night. The bench also granted protective relief for the nurse named as an alleged victim.
The allegations she faces
Prosecutors say she punched one flight attendant and bit another on a Los Angeles-to-New York Delta flight. Once the jet reached JFK she is accused of kicking a Port Authority officer in the head several times during the hospital transfer and of later going after a nurse.
The FBI is investigating the in-flight portion of the case. Her next court date is Jan. 19, 2027. She has not been convicted of any of the charges.
