Man punched at a 2023 Halloween party says Jack Doherty insulted Corinna Kopf before the fight
A man suing Jack Doherty and his ex-bodyguard says the YouTuber insulted Corinna Kopf before a 2023 Halloween punch. Trial starts November 2.

The man who was knocked flat at a 2023 Halloween party is now laying out his version of how the fight began. He says it started with YouTuber Jack Doherty insulting fellow creator Corinna Kopf.
The deposition
Chase Gardella is suing Doherty along with Kane Kongg, who was working as Doherty's bodyguard at the time. Gardella gave a deposition in December that has now surfaced.
In it he claims Doherty kept pressing Kopf to appear in one of his videos. When she said no, Gardella says Doherty called her "an OnlyFans whore."
How it turned physical
Gardella says he walked over to confront Doherty about the remark. He claims Doherty answered by challenging him to a two-on-two fight.
According to Gardella, Kongg then moved toward him and punched him in the face. The blow sent him to the floor.
Video of the moment spread widely online back in 2023. It shows a large man landing a punch on Gardella while he was dressed in a Halloween costume.
Trial date
The civil case is scheduled to go to trial on November 2. Doherty and Kongg have not publicly addressed the new deposition claims.
A separate criminal case
Doherty is also facing a criminal charge of domestic violence battery. Prosecutors allege he shoved his girlfriend and put his hands around her neck.
People close to Doherty deny the allegations. They say he was acting in self-defense.
