Selma Blair beams at a Hartford fan convention less than a week after her Delta flight arrest
Selma Blair looked cheerful at 90s Con in Hartford on Friday while she faces federal and state assault allegations tied to a Delta flight to New York.

Selma Blair turned up at a Connecticut fan event on Friday looking cheerful. It came only days after a cross-country trip ended with the actress in police custody.
A happy face at 90s Con
Blair was a guest at 90s Con, which took over the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. By every sign she was glad to be there.
Actor Brad Deiter later shared a snapshot of the two of them on Instagram. Blair has her arms wrapped around him and a wide grin on her face. Nothing in the picture hints at the legal trouble that began for her last Sunday.
What police say happened on the plane
According to police, things went wrong on a Delta trip from Los Angeles to JFK Airport. They say Blair attacked two members of the cabin crew and bit one of them.
Officers took her into custody once the jet was on the ground. She was then loaded into an ambulance so doctors could check her out. Authorities allege she kicked an officer in the head several times during that ride. They also accuse her of attacking a nurse after she got to the hospital.
Federal and state cases
The alleged attacks on the crew took place in federal airspace. That is why the FBI gave Blair a federal summons.
New York State brought its own case. Prosecutors there charged her with two felony assault counts over the nurse and the officer.
Blair has entered a plea of not guilty.
