Rick Ross' son says a man pistol-whipped him on a Daytona Beach corner
Police say a man pulled a gun on Rick Ross' son William Roberts III in Daytona Beach over a woman, struck him in the head and was later arrested.

Rick Ross' son was struck in the head with a gun during a confrontation over a woman in Florida, police say.
A police report says William Roberts III and the woman were together at a Daytona Beach intersection late on October 11. A car stopped near them and a man named Don Roberts got out and went after the pair.
The confrontation
Police say Don yelled at the woman, "That's what we doin." The remark was likely a nod to a past romance between the two of them.
The report says Don then aimed a handgun at William. He allegedly told him, "I don't care who your daddy is, I'll kill you right here."
Don is accused of hitting William on the side of the head with the gun. William's injuries were minor. Police say he got into his own car to escape and went to his family's house.
An arrest days later
William later identified Don in a police lineup, according to officers. Don was taken into custody last Friday.
Online sheriff's office records show he was booked into the Volusia County Jail. The counts against him are aggravated battery plus aggravated assault involving a deadly weapon.
His father's own case
The incident comes weeks after the rapper himself was arrested. Rick Ross was taken into custody on October 1 over an alleged attack on a former girlfriend in Miami Beach.
His attorneys Steve Sadow and Bradley Horenstein have denied the claims. They said the rapper is "wrongfully accused by an ex-girlfriend whose true motivations are unclear."
