A sanitation truck and the SUV carrying Run-DMC star Darryl McDaniels collided on an LA freeway. Everyone inside is said to be OK.

Darryl McDaniels had a scary ride in Los Angeles. The Run-DMC rapper was in an SUV that collided with a garbage truck on Friday.
What happened
The wreck took place on the 105 Freeway in the West Athens part of Los Angeles. The first emergency report reached California Highway Patrol at 11:43 AM. It was reported as a two-vehicle crash between an SUV and a garbage truck.
According to reports, McDaniels was a passenger. He was not driving.
Scene on the freeway
A bystander filmed the aftermath using a safety app. The clip showed the SUV stopped in a traffic lane with its nose turned against the flow of cars. The garbage truck sat nearby.
Broken glass covered the inside of the SUV. The right side of the vehicle was badly smashed. Two workers from the truck looked over the damage.
In good spirits
McDaniels talked with Los Angeles firefighters who came to the scene. At one point he even flashed a smile at the person filming.
Sources say nobody riding with him was hurt either. CHP said the scene has been cleared. The SUV was towed away.
