Backup QB Grant Wilson hits Charlie Becker in overtime as No. 4 Indiana survives Minnesota 23-16
Grant Wilson threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Charlie Becker in overtime as No. 4 Indiana beat Minnesota 23-16 after trading 60-yard field goals.

The defending national champions needed overtime again. Backup quarterback Grant Wilson threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Charlie Becker on the first play of overtime as No. 4 Indiana beat Minnesota 23-16 on Saturday in Bloomington.
Indiana then stopped Minnesota on its overtime possession to close it out. The Hoosiers improved to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the Big Ten.
It was the second straight week Indiana went to overtime. Last week the Hoosiers won 13-6 at Michigan.
Dueling 60-yard kicks
This one looked lost late. Minnesota kicker Luke Drzewiecki hit a career-long 60-yard field goal to give the Golden Gophers a 16-13 lead with 19 seconds left.
Becker answered with a 33-yard catch. Indiana's Paddy McAteer then made his own career-long 60-yarder as time expired to force overtime.
Two late replay reviews also shaped the finish. One wiped out a go-ahead touchdown pass. The other took away an interception that would have given Indiana the ball deep in Minnesota territory in the final minutes.
A quarterback change
Indiana pulled starter Josh Hoover at halftime after he took a big hit on his second interception of the season. He went 8 of 19 for 119 yards with one touchdown.
Wilson went 9 of 17 for 156 yards and the winning score. Becker caught eight passes for 149 yards.
Drake Lindsey went 20 of 37 for 120 yards and a touchdown for Minnesota (5-3, 3-2). The Gophers are now 0-13 all-time against defending national champions.
