Green Bay may soon get its star pass rusher back. The Packers and Micah Parsons are targeting the Nov. 25 Thanksgiving Eve game against the Los Angeles Rams for his return, sources told NFL Network.

Parsons has not played since Dec. 14, when he tore his ACL and meniscus. He had surgery on Dec. 29 to rebuild the ACL and fully repair the meniscus.

He has hit all of his most recent rehab markers and is set to practice next week. Sources stress that practicing does not mean his rehab is over. It is just the next step in a slow ramp-up.

The plan from here

Next week Parsons is expected to take part in individual drills. If all goes well he will move into team drills the following week. Green Bay then has its bye in Week 11 before a short week to get ready for the Rams on a Wednesday night.

Coach Matt LaFleur knows what Parsons can bring. He had 12.5 sacks in 14 games last season before the knee injury. "At the end of the day, that's the medical [decision]," LaFleur said. "Yeah, I'm itching [for] it, though, for sure."

Parsons is taking his time

Parsons has been open about not rushing back. "It's just about me making sure I have all the small things fixed first," he said recently on his podcast The Edge.

"What a lot of people don't figure out is it's not just the ACL," he said. "It's like, why did the ACL happen? What was weak? Because it all works together. It's a chain."
