Jordan Love threw three touchdown passes and Josh Jacobs scored twice as Green Bay held off Carolina 27-19 on Thursday Night Football at Lambeau Field.

Jordan Love picked apart the Carolina blitz and the Green Bay Packers held on for a 27-19 win over the Panthers on Thursday night at Lambeau Field.
Love went 30 of 41 for 288 yards with three touchdown passes and one interception. He found Tucker Kraft, rookie Matthew Golden and Josh Jacobs for scores. Green Bay improved to 5-3 while Carolina fell to 3-4.
Love was at his best when Carolina sent extra rushers. He started the night 9 for 9 against the blitz and finished with 14 completions for 126 yards and two touchdowns on the 16 plays the Panthers blitzed.
Jacobs finds the end zone twice
Yards were hard to come by on the ground. Jacobs ran 21 times for just 39 yards against the league's lowest-ranked run defense. He still scored twice, on a 1-yard run and a 4-yard catch.
Green Bay built a 27-10 lead in the third quarter. Carolina pulled within 27-19 when Bryce Young hit Jalen Coker for a 26-yard touchdown on fourth down with 5:37 left. The 2-point try failed.
The Panthers turned the ball over on downs near midfield with 2:41 to go. Their last chance ended when Dani Dennis-Sutton sacked Young with 22 seconds left.
Watson's wild night
Receiver Christian Watson had 100 yards by the second quarter when he hurt his chest at the end of a 53-yard catch. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
He was back on the sideline in the third quarter to one of the loudest cheers of the night. Watson finished with eight catches for 113 yards.
Pressure on Young
Green Bay sacked Young six times. Linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper tipped a Young pass to himself for an interception. Chuba Hubbard ran 22 times for 81 yards and a touchdown for Carolina.
The Panthers forced three turnovers but turned them into only three points. They remain tied with Atlanta for first place in the NFC South.
World champions at Lambeau
Members of the Milwaukee Brewers got a huge ovation one night after winning the first World Series title in franchise history. Pitcher Brandon Woodruff carried the trophy onto the field and a few players tried the Lambeau Leap.
Up next, Green Bay visits New England on Nov. 8 while Carolina hosts Denver that same day.
