Kimberly Guilfoyle reportedly asked a Trump donor to wire $100,000 to her American Express account
Messages described in a new report show the ambassador to Greece pressing a former Kentucky congressional candidate to pay her credit card bill days before her confirmation hearing.

Kimberly Guilfoyle reportedly asked a Trump donor to send $100,000 straight to her American Express account shortly before her Senate confirmation hearing.
The Wall Street Journal reviewed Signal messages between Guilfoyle and Eric Deters, a former congressional candidate from Kentucky. According to the report, the request came in July 2025 as Guilfoyle was preparing for her hearing to become U.S. ambassador to Greece.
"Honey please"
On July 3, six days before the July 9 hearing, Guilfoyle reportedly wrote to Deters asking him to get it done for her that day. She then allegedly sent him a PDF with instructions for paying an American Express bill and told him a wire to the card company would not show up anywhere.
Deters did not pay. He reportedly told her it would wreck his marriage.
What Deters wanted
The two had been messaging for months before the request, the newspaper reported. Deters was looking for help getting the Trump administration to review his personal tax and legal problems. He reportedly offered Guilfoyle as much as $1 million if she succeeded.
Deters said Guilfoyle promised to be his loyal ally if he covered the card balance. He told the newspaper she never resolved his problems.
Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host who was once engaged to Donald Trump Jr., did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
