Kimberly Guilfoyle's ambassador job in Greece reportedly hangs by a thread
The White House and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are reportedly weighing whether to remove Kimberly Guilfoyle as ambassador to Greece over misconduct claims.

Kimberly Guilfoyle could soon be out of a job overseas. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are said to be weighing whether to remove her as the U.S. envoy in Athens as misconduct claims keep piling up.
Anger at the top
A senior administration official told the Associated Press that both men are furious about the accusations. That official said a decision on her future could come within days.
Guilfoyle is a former Fox News personality. She was once married to Gavin Newsom and later engaged to Donald Trump Jr. The president tapped her for the Greece post after that engagement ended.
What she is accused of
The most eye-catching claim involves money. Guilfoyle reportedly pressed Trump donor Eric Deters to pay off a $100,000 American Express balance and suggested he would get time with top officials in return.
Deters has been speaking out publicly about their dealings and he has been blunt about it.
Other reports say she threatened a Greek official, took gifts she should not have accepted and lobbied on behalf of one Greek business.
An awkward embrace
Rubio visited Greece only last week. Guilfoyle welcomed him with a big hug even as the allegations were swirling.
He stood up for her at first. People close to the matter told the AP that his patience has been running out as new claims surface.
Where things stand
The State Department's own watchdog has reportedly begun reviewing what she is accused of. It is not clear whether a formal probe has been opened.
Guilfoyle has not spoken about the claims herself. Her lawyer says she did nothing wrong.
