The Kansas City Chiefs are still perfect.

Kenneth Walker ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday as the Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers 22-6 at home to move to 5-0. Patrick Mahomes threw for 272 yards.

Kansas City joins San Francisco and Minnesota as the only unbeaten teams left in the NFL. The 49ers and Vikings were both on their bye.

Walker keeps rolling

Walker came in leading the league in rushing and showed why. He slipped through a hole at the line and outran the last defender for a 33-yard touchdown. Later in the first half he bounced off a defensive tackle and found a crease for a 2-yard score.

Xavier Worthy caught seven passes for 73 yards and Travis Kelce added five for 53. The Chiefs got it done without injured receivers Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton. Kelce briefly left in the first half with an ankle injury but came back.

It was not always pretty. Kansas City struggled in short-yardage spots and Harrison Butker missed an extra point and a field goal.

Chargers can't get going

Justin Herbert threw for 204 yards. Linebacker Jack Cochrane intercepted him to end one drive, Herbert's league-high eighth pick of the season. Nick Bolton stopped him on a third-down scramble to force a punt.

Los Angeles was missing offensive linemen Joe Alt and Kayode Awosika and leading receiver Tre' Harris. Ladd McConkey, just back from a foot problem, left in the second quarter with a concussion.

The Chargers drove inside the Kansas City 15 in the second half but settled for their second field goal. They are 0-6 and head into their bye.

Revenge of sorts

It was the first meeting between the AFC West rivals since December, when Mahomes tore ligaments in his left knee in a loss that knocked Kansas City out of the playoff race. The Chargers swept both games last season.

Chiefs cornerback Chris Roland-Wallace was ejected early in the fourth quarter for throwing a punch.

Next up is a big one for Walker. The Chiefs visit Seattle next Sunday night to face the Seahawks, the team he helped win Super Bowl LX as the game's MVP.
