The mechanical bird at the heart of Kelly Clarkson's spat with a Brooklyn toy shop has a new price tag. Art of Play is now offering Molly for sale at $15 million.

From "not for sale" to eight figures

Shop co-owner Adam Rubin had insisted Molly was fixed to the wall and could not leave the store. He said the artist behind the piece might sell "Molly's twin" for about $15,000 and that he also pointed Clarkson toward a different bird automaton priced at $2,000 that she could take home the same day. She left without looking at that option.

Clarkson compared the visit to the boutique snub in "Pretty Woman" and says Rubin's version does not hold up.

A photographer's stop

After Rubin criticized Clarkson earlier in the week, a photographer visited the Brooklyn shop on Wednesday and found Molly listed for sale. The listing billed Molly as a world-famous singing bird automata and set the ask at $15 million.

Whether Clarkson still wants the piece is unclear.
