Katie Zacharia once pitched Beachbody shakes as an affiliate marketer
A leaked LinkedIn trail shows Katie Zacharia sold Shakeology for Beachbody. She called the company's multilevel setup sort of a pyramid scheme.

Katie Zacharia's résumé is under a new microscope and the latest chapter is not about the bar exam.
A Wired report says she once sold for the fitness brand Beachbody as an affiliate. Talking to the magazine she labeled the multilevel pitch model "sort of a pyramid scheme."
What the leak showed
Wired used a District 4 Labs dump of leaked online records. Inside it was Zacharia's deleted LinkedIn page which listed Beachbody email addresses as contacts.
Both Beachbody and Zacharia say she was never a company employee. She told Wired a friend brought her in to promote Shakeology, the brand's nutrition shake.
Why she stopped
Zacharia says she eventually quit using and pitching Shakeology. She told the outlet she did not think the vitamin A was a good fit while she was pregnant.
The brand later changed its name to BODi. In a statement to Wired it confirmed Zacharia had been an independent Team Beachbody distributor and described the network as a peer-to-peer channel for home workouts plus nutrition products.
Why it matters now
The report landed while reporters were already digging into her background. President Trump had presented her as an attorney and the Wall Street Journal reported she never passed the bar.
These are claims from a media report and her own comments to Wired. Nothing about her Beachbody work has been alleged as illegal.
