Utah defensive tackle Jamal Wallace suspended indefinitely as police investigate a rape claim
Utah senior defensive tackle Jamal Wallace is suspended indefinitely and under investigation for rape. He denies the claims and has not been charged.

University of Utah football player Jamal Wallace has been pulled from the team while police look into a sexual assault allegation against him.
What the woman alleges
Wallace, a senior defensive tackle, is being investigated for rape and forcible sodomy. According to reports, a woman told police he forced her into sex acts.
She says the two had met to talk about their on-and-off relationship.
Videos at the center of the case
Investigators also accuse him of filming the alleged assault on the woman's phone. He is said to have then sent the footage to five people through Snapchat.
Detectives in Salt Lake City say they tracked down the clips. Police say videos found on her phone were recorded by Wallace.
He was arrested on Oct. 11 on five misdemeanor counts of distributing an intimate image and released after posting $5,000 bail. He has not been formally charged.
Police say they are still reviewing digital evidence and expect to send the case to prosecutors, who will decide on charges.
School acts quickly
A Utah athletics spokesperson said the school learned of the matter the same day he was arrested. He was put on an indefinite suspension right away.
"We take these matters seriously," the spokesperson said, adding that the school would not say more because the legal case is still pending.
He denies it
Wallace has denied assaulting the woman. He also denies sending the videos to anyone.
