Why High Potential isn't on: ABC holds Season 3 until February 2027
High Potential fans searching for new episodes will have to wait. ABC moved Season 3 to midseason, with a February 2027 premiere.

High Potential is trending as fans realize the ABC crime dramedy is not on the fall schedule. Season 3 will not premiere until February 2027, People reported.
The first two seasons premiered in September 2024 and September 2025 and aired on Tuesday nights after Dancing with the Stars. This year, R.J. Decker, another crime dramedy, has the Tuesday 10 p.m. slot.
ABC has said it moved High Potential to midseason to limit breaks, such as holidays, that interrupt a run of new episodes.
A big hit on hold
The delay stands out because the show is one of ABC's biggest. It averaged 16.01 million viewers over 35 days across ABC and streaming in 2025-26, ranking No. 1 among broadcast entertainment series with adults 18-49 and No. 3 in total viewers, CBR reported.
Season 3 will pick up from the Season 2 cliffhanger. Kaitlin Olson stars as Morgan Gillory, alongside Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie and Deniz Akdeniz.
What to watch meanwhile
ABC's fall lineup includes new seasons of Grey's Anatomy, 9-1-1, Scrubs and Abbott Elementary while fans wait for Morgan's return.
