Lucifer is roughly the size of a small horse and somehow the softest playmate in the house. A new Instagram clip of the Great Dane gently forehead-booping his toddler sister has fans melting over the careful giant.

The little girl stands in a pink onesie right in front of him with a huge smile. Lucifer stomps over looks her in the eyes and gives a tiny nudge that looks like a big shove in miniature. Then he hops side to side while she dissolves into giggles.

Their parents filmed the game and the caption asked a fair question. Would you trust your Dane not to knock over your toddler. Judging by the replay Lucifer already knows the answer.

Soft power

Great Danes often get labeled gentle giants and Lucifer is living up to the nickname. He pretends to push harder than he does. The toddler waits for the next round like it is her favorite amusement park ride.

They chase around the house between boops. Viewers zeroed in on the silent stare before each nudge and called it a forehead boop of pure happiness. One commenter said they trusted the dog more than the onesie.

Seven million likes

The post raced past seven million likes as people shared their own oversized dogs who somehow tiptoe around tiny humans. The chemistry sells itself. A towering pooch. A tiny roommate. Soft contact and big laughs.

If you share a home with a giant breed the clip is a reminder that size and softness can share the same body. Lucifer seems to understand exactly how delicate his playmate is and he treats every boop like a promise to keep her laughing.
