The Giants and cornerback Greg Newsome II agreed to a three-year, $46 million extension with $32 million guaranteed, halfway into his first season in New York.

Greg Newsome II has found a home in New York.
The Giants and the cornerback agreed Tuesday to a three-year, $46 million contract extension. The deal includes $32 million in guaranteed money.
The move comes only halfway through Newsome's first season with the team.
A winding road to New York
Newsome, 26, was a first-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2021.
Cleveland traded him to the Jacksonville Jaguars last October. He then signed a one-year deal with the Giants this past offseason.
Paying off for Big Blue
Newsome has 17 tackles, six passes defended and one interception this season.
He has been part of a strong start for New York. The Giants are 4-2-1 and sit on top of the NFC East.
