A grim scene played out on Sunday just outside Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

Police say a man of 65 died just beyond the gates of the park.

A call about a man in distress

Anaheim police say they got a call Sunday afternoon about a "person in distress." The man then lost consciousness outside the park.

By the time officers got there he had already died, police said. Video from the scene shows officers gathered around him.

What police say

Police describe the man as a transient who had been in the area. They say he appears to have died of natural causes.

Officers shut down the space around Disneyland's south entrance for a while as they looked into the death.

The coroner arrives

Workers sent by the Orange County Coroner's Office showed up too. They placed the covered body on a gurney then rolled it away.

Not long after that the area returned to normal.
