Christina Applegate says doctors are screening her for illnesses that can look like MS
Christina Applegate says she is back at square one and being tested for illnesses such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and Lyme disease.

Christina Applegate says she is back at "square one" after learning she does not have multiple sclerosis and is now being tested for other illnesses.
On her "MeSsy" podcast this week the "Dead to Me" star said she is being checked "one-by-one" for what she called the "sister diseases" to MS.
She pointed out that Lyme disease, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis are among the conditions that can look a lot like MS. "So now I'm being tested for all that stuff slowly but surely," she said.
Fresh detail on the workup
Applegate shared an MS diagnosis in 2021 and said last month that doctors had concluded she was misdiagnosed. She has already talked about feeling like "a fraud" after losing that label.
These newest remarks spotlight the named diseases now on her test list and the restart of the diagnostic process rather than only the identity shock.
She still has real symptoms and wants a clear answer about what is actually wrong.
