Hustles
A family pancake recipe became Vicky Cakes on $12
Christian and Courtney launched Vicky Cakes pancake mix with about $12. They tell Upflip a TV spot filled the house with orders overnight.

Vicky Cakes began as a fluffy pancake recipe Christian's mother had made for more than 47 years. Courtney tasted it and could not let it stay a family breakfast.
They launched the mix with about $12.17 and a hope that other people would want the same box. The first year was slow.
Then a television feature hit. They say the house filled with boxes, neighbors packed orders and supply problems showed up as fast as the demand. There were stretches when quitting would have been simpler.
A recipe that left the kitchen
The Upflip episode is about that jump: a quiet first year, then a rush they were not staffed for, then the work of keeping a mix on shelves.
The $12 start is theirs. The story is a pancake recipe that became a packed living room.
