Judge rejects Brad Pitt's bid for Angelina Jolie's financial records in winery fight
The court found Pitt had not shown good cause to see Jolie's 2017 to 2019 finances. Her lawyer called the request harassment.

Brad Pitt has lost a bid to see some of Angelina Jolie's financial records in their long-running fight over Château Miraval, the French winery they once owned together.
Pitt had asked the court to order Jolie to turn over financial records from 2017 through 2019. In a ruling filed Tuesday, the judge denied the request, finding Pitt had not shown good cause that would outweigh Jolie's privacy, since her side does not plan to make her income from those years part of its case. The judge left the door open for Pitt to try again if Jolie's testimony puts that income at issue.
Jolie's lawyer responds
Jolie's attorney, Paul Murphy, said the motion never should have been filed, arguing it was part of a broader effort by Pitt to control Jolie and the story around the case. Murphy repeated Jolie's position that Pitt tried to make her sign a nondisclosure agreement as a condition of her exit from Miraval. Pitt has denied her abuse allegations in the past.
The dispute
Jolie sold her stake in Miraval in 2021 to the wine arm of the Stoli Group. Pitt sued, claiming the two had agreed not to sell without consulting each other. Pitt's representatives had not commented on the ruling as of Wednesday, according to reports.
