Happy Days star Anson Williams must pay his ex-wife nearly $48,000 after a judge rules on unpaid divorce bills
A judge says the Happy Days actor left insurance premiums unpaid and used company funds, so he owes Jackie Williams $40,181 plus $7,500 for her lawyer.

Anson Williams of "Happy Days" fame has been handed a costly ruling in his long-running money fight with his ex-wife. A judge ordered him to pay her more than $40,000 for divorce obligations he never covered.
What he owes
Court documents show Williams must pay Jackie Williams $40,181.04. He also owes $7,500 to her attorney, which pushes the total close to $48,000.
The judge gave him until 5 PM on November 2 to pay all of it.
Where the money went
The judge found several costs he had left unpaid. They include close to $18,000 in life insurance premiums and about $17,000 in company money he used without permission. Another $2,000 or so went to payments he made to himself.
On top of the cash, the court ordered him to transfer 160,214 of his American Express points to her.
He did not show up
According to the documents, Williams skipped the October 1 hearing and never filed a response to her claims.
How it got here
Jackie took him back to court in August, saying he had not made the payments their divorce settlement required. She also said he brushed off her efforts to collect.
Their marriage lasted three decades before it ended in 2020.
