One of YouTube's best known couples has split. Hila Klein says her husband Ethan Klein, the host of the H3 Podcast, carried on an affair for more than half a year.

Hila's account

Hila shared the news on Instagram. She wrote that she was "living a nightmare I can't wake up from" after months of being told one lie after another.

She said she had sensed something was wrong for a while but Ethan brushed off her worries. According to her, his story kept shifting once he was caught. What began as "just a kiss" turned into "emotional cheating" before he finally admitted to an affair lasting "over 6 months."

Hila called the betrayal "immeasurable." She said she is now in "survival mode" while working through a separation and co-parenting the couple's three children.

The crew cuts ties

The H3 Podcast team quickly made its position clear. In a joint statement the staff said they were angry as well as "heartbroken" to learn about the affair.

They said they had agreed not to keep working on the show with Ethan involved or profiting from it. The crew said they "stand with Hila."

The show goes dark

Hours before Hila went public Ethan posted on his Instagram Stories that the podcast would be "put on an indefinite hiatus." He later said he will work on giving up any stake he holds in the show.

His only other public comment asked fans to respect his family's privacy. He urged people not to reach out to his relatives looking for him. He wrote that they "have nothing to do with this" and share in the public's "outrage and disappointment." He has not directly responded to the affair claims.

Old words come back

Fans were quick to dig up an older H3 clip in which Ethan discussed the Try Guys cheating scandal. In it he said he can't stand men with kids who cheat on the mother of their children.

Last year Ethan also had Hila's face tattooed on his arm. The tattoo carries the line "The greatest thing a man can do for his children is to love their mother."

Trisha Paytas weighs in

Trisha Paytas, who co-hosted the Frenemies podcast with Ethan until it ended in 2021, addressed the split on her own show, Just Trish. Hila is her sister-in-law, so she said she could not celebrate the news the way some people online were.

Still, she admitted she felt relief that the H3 Podcast is off the air. She said she had spent five years hoping the conflict would end and believes the hiatus could finally stop the harassment she says her family faced.

Her husband Moses Hacmon, who is Hila's brother, said he has been estranged from his sister for about five years. He said he chose to cut off contact rather than air family issues for views. He also called the things said about him over the years blatant lies that hurt Trisha and their kids.
