A wild finish
The Pelicans trailed by 13 late in the third quarter. Williamson finally got on the board with two free throws with 8:49 left in the period and went on to score 13 in the quarter.
Utah still looked to be in control late. Lauri Markkanen hit two 3s in the final 1:36 of regulation. The second one gave the Jazz a 104-100 lead with 39 seconds left.
Williamson answered with a driving layup. Dejounte Murray then made two free throws to tie it with 6.4 seconds to go. Keyonte George hit a pull-up jumper over Williamson at the buzzer, but it came a fraction of a second too late.
Pelicans take over

The highlight was Bey's off-balance 6-footer that rolled all the way around the rim before dropping in to make it 116-110 with 39 seconds left.
Williamson also had two blocks and two steals. Murray scored 20 in his return after missing three games following the birth of his child. Derik Queen scored 20, with 14 coming in the fourth quarter. Jeremiah Fears added 19.
Streaks going opposite ways
New Orleans has now won four straight after opening the season with four losses. The Pelicans played without Trey Murphy III, who sat with knee soreness.
George scored 39 points for Utah, which has lost six in a row. Markkanen had 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Official Courtney Kirkland left during overtime with an apparent left leg injury, so the extra period was played with two officials.
The Pelicans host Minnesota on Friday in an NBA Cup game. The Jazz visit Dallas the same night.
