Wladimir Klitschko offers to cover Hayden Panettiere's tax bill to protect their daughter's inheritance
In court papers, the former boxing champion says he will pay about $30,000 owed for 2025 so the late actress's estate avoids penalties.

Wladimir Klitschko says he will pay roughly $30,000 out of his own pocket to cover Hayden Panettiere's 2025 taxes, according to court documents described in reports.
The former heavyweight champion shares a daughter, Kaya, with the late actress. He says Panettiere's state and federal returns appear to be due Oct. 15 and he wants to avoid interest and penalties piling up on her estate. He plans to seek repayment once the estate is formally set up.
A push for guardianship
Klitschko is using the deadline as another reason for the court to name him Kaya's guardian, which would let him represent her in estate matters. Kaya is the sole beneficiary, according to the filing.
He has also told the court he is worried about Panettiere's belongings, claiming some of her jewelry was sold to a pawn shop by someone outside the family. He says it has been hard to get police to look into it without legal authority to act for his daughter.
Background
Panettiere died in August and she did not leave a will, according to reports. The court has not yet ruled on the guardianship request.
