Trump urges Israelis to keep Netanyahu as prime minister ahead of the Oct. 27 vote
Trump used Truth Social to back Benjamin Netanyahu before Israel's Oct. 27 election and warned that any other leader would leave America to do the work.

President Donald Trump has thrown his support behind Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the country's election only days away.
A Sunday post on Truth Social
Trump posted the endorsement on Sunday morning and addressed it to "the Great People of Israel." He praised Netanyahu as strong and brave as well as brilliant.
A warning tied to Iran
He also brought up the war with Iran. Trump wrote that choosing anyone but Netanyahu would leave the United States to finish the job on its own. He added that he has no interest in taking that on.
Years of partnership
The two leaders have worked closely together for years. Netanyahu, for his part, has praised Trump many times as a true ally of Israel.
On Capitol Hill, Netanyahu's closest ally was Sen. Lindsey Graham, who died suddenly in July.
Netanyahu answers
Netanyahu replied on X. He thanked Trump and vowed that the two of them would "complete the mission" together.
When Israel votes
Israelis go to the polls on October 27. Netanyahu is asking voters for another four-year term. Israeli law sets no limit on how many terms a prime minister can serve.
