Grayson Chrisley says doctors checked him for drugs and alcohol after he wrecked his truck in 2022. Now the reality TV family is working to keep those results away from the man who is suing them, according to reports.

Who wants the records

Patrick Rykwalder has sued Grayson along with his parents Todd and Julie Chrisley and his sister Savannah Chrisley. He wants to see Grayson's medical files and test results.

Rykwalder says the family keeps standing in his way. He argues that digging into those records is a fair part of building his case.

Todd's own words come back up

New court filings point to a November 2022 episode of Todd's podcast. On that show Todd described rushing to the crash scene and riding with Grayson to the hospital.

Todd said he asked hospital staff to run a toxicology screen on his son while they were there.

Rykwalder also notes that Grayson said he had a concussion from the wreck. He wants the medical files to find out whether that holds up.

The family's response

The Chrisleys say Rykwalder has no right to any of it. They point out that Grayson has already accepted liability for the collision.

In their view the test results and hospital files do not matter when it comes to working out damages.

Back to the crash

Grayson was behind the wheel of a 2020 Ford pickup when he struck Rykwalder in Tennessee. It happened just weeks before Todd and Julie reported to prison.

Rykwalder blames the crash on Grayson not watching the road. Grayson disputes that.

The lawsuit is still moving through the courts.
