A new Cobb County police report says officers found Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem beneath Goliath without a pulse after he was thrown from the coaster.

A Cobb County police report fills in grim details of how officers found Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem after he came off Goliath.
On the scene
Officers responded to Six Flags Over Georgia around 3:58 p.m. Monday. They found the 42-year-old beneath the coaster. He was unresponsive and not breathing.
Initial talks with bystanders and staff point to him being thrown clear of the train then colliding with other guests on the way down.
Who is investigating
Police locked down the area and brought in the Major Crimes Unit. The state insurance and safety-fire commissioner's office says it is conducting a thorough check of whether every safety rule was met.
The agency says it will not share more until that work is finished. It promises to release verified findings when the review closes.
The victim
Kariem was later identified by his family. Relatives and friends are mourning the Atlanta teacher who died in the fall.
