Ryan Garcia claims Floyd Mayweather has said yes to a real pro bout with the 50-0 record at stake
Ryan Garcia says Floyd Mayweather agreed to a real 147-pound title fight, not an exhibition, though the date and place are still a mystery.

Ryan Garcia says boxing fans should get ready for something they never expected.
The 28-year-old star announced on social media that Floyd Mayweather has agreed to step into the ring with him. He stressed that this would be a genuine pro bout and not an exhibition.
"Trust me at first I thought this was bull***," Garcia wrote. "But it's real Floyd and I agree to a fight."
A title on the line
Garcia says the matchup would happen at 147 pounds with the WBC welterweight crown up for grabs. He framed it as "50-0 vs The current champ."
To back up his claim, Garcia posted a screenshot of a FaceTime call between the two men talking about the fight.
A long layoff for Floyd
Talk of the pairing had been floating around for weeks, but few people believed it would actually come together.
Garcia, who is 26-2 with 21 knockouts, is the current WBC welterweight champion. He took the belt from Mario Barrios earlier this year and kept it in September with a second-round stoppage of Conor Benn.
Mayweather will turn 50 in February. His last professional bout came against Conor McGregor in 2017.
A real pro fight would put his perfect record at risk.
Still no date
No date, venue or other details have been shared yet. Mayweather has not publicly confirmed the deal.
On Friday Garcia's attorney and advisor Guadalupe Valencia said the team will work to make the fight happen "when Floyd is free from other obligations." He said it would only be a real fight with Mayweather's 50-0 record on the line.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said the sanctioning body would support Mayweather if he passes all his medical exams and gets a license from the commission where the fight takes place.
