RJ Mitte flashed a big grin for a fan at the Albuquerque airport days before he died
A fan's photo shows RJ Mitte smiling with a Woody doll at the Albuquerque airport on October 4, eight days before the Breaking Bad actor was found dead.

RJ Mitte had plenty on his mind in his last days. A new photo shows he still had a warm smile ready for the people who stopped to say hello.
The airport snapshot
The picture was taken at the Albuquerque airport in New Mexico on October 4. That was just 8 days before the "Breaking Bad" actor died. A fan named Bethany Crass snapped it.
In the shot RJ wears a flannel over a T-shirt with a cap on his head. He holds a stuffed Woody doll from "Toy Story" and beams at the camera.
After the balloon ride
The photo came after RJ went up in a hot air balloon with his friend and former "Breaking Bad" castmate Luis Moncada. By the time he reached the airport he was by himself and waiting to fly out.
He reportedly spent some time at Burque Brew, a bar inside the airport, where he had a few drinks before his flight. People who chatted with him say he was friendly to every fan who walked up.
At one point he lowered his head to take a phone call. Who was on the other end is not known.
A troubled stretch
According to sources, RJ's fiancée Kennedy Suarez wanted him to pick between her and his mom Dyna. The relationship was reportedly struggling, though it is not clear whether the couple had split before his death.
About a week after that airport moment RJ was found dead in Texas on Monday. His death was later ruled a suicide. He was 34.
