RJ Mitte finally floated over Albuquerque with Luis Moncada days before he died
Eight days before he died RJ Mitte took his first hot air balloon flight at the Albuquerque balloon fiesta alongside Breaking Bad costar Luis Moncada.

RJ Mitte got to cross a long-held wish off his list in the final days of his life. The Breaking Bad actor took his first ever hot air balloon flight with his former castmate Luis Moncada.
A reunion at the fiesta
On the AMC drama Mitte was Walter White Jr. On October 4 he joined Moncada at New Mexico's Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, only eight days before his death.
Moncada played Marco Salamanca, one half of the show's menacing Salamanca twins.
Years on the ground
StrangeKind Ballooning, the company that flew them, shared a heartfelt statement about the morning. It says Mitte greeted the other passengers, joked around with the crew and made everyone around him feel at home.
The flight had been a long time coming. Mitte told the company he once worked on a balloon crew while Breaking Bad was filming in Albuquerque. His contract kept him from ever riding in one.
After all those years of helping balloons lift off, he finally got to see the view from above.
Like flying family
The company says Mitte happily posed for pictures with fans after the landing. He even stayed behind to help pack the balloon away.
One crew member said it felt as if they had taken a family member up for a ride. StrangeKind says it had hoped to bring Mitte back for another flight and never imagined that first morning would be the only one.
Mitte was 34. He died by suicide on Monday in Texas.
His death has shaken the Breaking Bad family. Bryan Cranston, who played his TV father Walter White, has shared his grief. Tributes have also come from Aaron Paul, the show's Jesse Pinkman. Dean Norris, who played Uncle Hank, has honored him as well.
StrangeKind closed its message by saying it hoped the flight gave Mitte some of the joy he brought to everyone he met.
