Prince Harry tells GQ that making peace with his father and brother matters most to him
Prince Harry told GQ he wants to repair his bond with King Charles and Prince William but claims some people would rather the rift stay open.

Prince Harry says he is ready to patch things up with his family. He also claims there are people who would prefer that the royals stay divided.
The Duke of Sussex spoke about the strain in a new GQ interview. He was asked whether he grieves the state of his relationships with King Charles and Prince William.
He told the magazine that some people do not want the family to heal. "I want it to work out," he said. He went on to call reconciliation the most important thing given everything happening in the world.
A common struggle
Harry said he is well aware that plenty of families deal with broken bonds. He said the subject comes up often when he meets people during his travels.
In his view some people may watch his family and hope that seeing the royals sort it out could help them fix their own rifts.
He described the world as a chaotic and sometimes dark place. That is why he believes people should make peace with loved ones whenever they get the chance. He also said there is already plenty of drama in the world without family feuds adding to it.
How the rift began
Harry and William fell out badly after Harry stepped away from royal duties. He and Meghan Markle then left England and settled in California.
The couple recently moved back to England with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The return got off to a bumpy start when security worries forced the kids out of school.
Where things stand
Lately Harry and his family have visited with King Charles and Queen Camilla. His relationship with William and Kate Middleton remains frozen.
Harry has made it clear he is open to a reunion. Whether one happens now seems to depend on his older brother.
