Paris Hilton explains why her daughter chose to dress as Chip
Paris Hilton says daughter London picked the teacup costume herself after critics slammed the family's Beauty and the Beast Halloween look.

Paris Hilton is clearing up the drama over her family's Halloween costumes.
The star posted a cute family photo with a "Beauty and the Beast" theme. She dressed as Belle while her husband Carter Reum played the Beast. Their son Phoenix went as Lumiere. Their daughter London was Chip.
The backlash
Critics online did not love it. Many said Paris should not have taken the princess role while her little girl dressed as a cup. Some argued the kids should have been Belle and the Beast instead.
London's choice
Paris set the record straight. She said the Disney film is a favorite of her children. She also said London asked to be the teacup.
"She said it was her favorite character in the movie," Paris wrote.
Fans come to her defense
Plenty of people backed her up. Some pointed out that London was dressed as Chip, not his mom Mrs. Potts as a few critics believed.
Comedian Ashley Lindsay put it bluntly. "That's Chip!!! That's Chip," she said. "You don't have to be a Disney adult to see that's Chip."
Sometimes a costume is just what a kid wanted.
