Ole Miss made quick work of a top-15 opponent in Oxford.

Trinidad Chambliss threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score Saturday as No. 9 Ole Miss beat No. 13 Missouri 31-3.

Chambliss spreads it around

Chambliss completed 20 of 36 passes for 241 yards. His touchdown throws went 10 yards to Caleb Odom, 21 yards to Horatio Fields and 17 yards to Caleb Cunningham. He also scored on a 5-yard run.

"He wasn't perfect either, but I'm glad he's on our side," Ole Miss coach Pete Golding said.

The Rebels piled up 498 yards with 257 of them on the ground. Kewan Lacy ran for 122 yards on 16 carries and Makhi Frazier added 101 yards on 15 carries.

Missouri never got going

Missouri led 3-0 early but trailed 21-3 at halftime. The Tigers wasted a first-and-goal at the Ole Miss 2 in the second quarter. Two runs lost yards, a pass fell incomplete and Blake Craig missed a 23-yard field goal.

Jamal Roberts came in off back-to-back games of more than 200 rushing yards. Ole Miss held him to 39 yards on 20 carries.

Familiar faces on the other side

The game had extra spice. Missouri quarterback Austin Simmons, receiver Cayden Lee and defensive back Chris Graves Jr. all played big roles on last year's Ole Miss playoff team. Lacy, the Rebels' leading rusher the past two seasons, started his career at Missouri.

Simmons threw for 339 yards and an interception on 25-of-44 passing.

"I'm not going to wallow in this. The season is not over," Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz said.

Ole Miss improved to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the SEC. Missouri fell to 5-2 and 2-2.
