Nick Young says he tried to fight D'Angelo Russell after the leaked Iggy Azalea video

Nick Young says he wanted to fight D'Angelo Russell after the 2016 video leak that blew up his relationship with Iggy Azalea.

Talking with Shannon Sharpe on "Club Shay Shay," Young said he headed to the arena with friends but security stopped him at the door and told him to take a couple of days off.

Why he was angry

Young said he had never had a teammate snitch on him. He worried the media would call him a punk if he let it go. He acknowledged Russell was a teenager at the time but said you do not do something like that.

He also claimed that while Russell was playing, friends of his confronted Russell's brother in the family lounge so he could get some kind of payback.

The leak

Russell's account posted a video in which Young talked about cheating on Azalea, his fiancée at the time. Russell blamed his girlfriend for posting it. Young still does not accept that account. The engagement did not survive it and the Lakers locker room split. Young said he knew it was bad when he got home and saw his belongings in the pool.
