Lil Durk's dad calls solitary confinement harassment before bond hearing
Dontay Banks Sr. says his son's isolation at a Los Angeles federal jail is harassment timed around a bond fight after the murder-for-hire acquittal.

Lil Durk's father says putting the rapper in solitary confinement is harassment and he thinks the timing lines up with a push to get his son out of jail.
Dontay Banks Sr. also known as Big Durk spoke in Los Angeles on Wednesday and accused authorities of targeting his son ahead of a major bond hearing.
He said Lil Durk is staying strong and focused even though they have not been able to talk while the rapper sits in isolation.
Faith and the courtroom calendar
Banks said his son understands the weight of the legal fights after a jury cleared him on all five murder-for-hire counts and that he was looking ahead to Wednesday's bond hearing.
Spiritual representative Zül-Qarnaįn stood with him and said Lil Durk remains grounded in faith while asking fans to keep him in their prayers.
Why he is still locked up
Lil Durk was moved into solitary last week at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles. Sources say his cell was searched repeatedly with no contraband found and that he was disciplined after questioning those searches.
He was acquitted in September on the murder-for-hire case but remains jailed while awaiting a separate federal racketeering and firearms trial now set for August 2027. Banks' message this time was simple: keep the family in prayer.
