Kon Knueppel's season debut lasts less than six minutes as his left leg acts up again
Hornets guard Kon Knueppel left his season debut less than six minutes in with left leg soreness after missing eight games with a hamstring injury.

Kon Knueppel's long-awaited return did not last long.
The Charlotte Hornets guard made his season debut Wednesday night in Brooklyn but lasted less than six minutes before he appeared to aggravate the left hamstring injury that had kept him out all season.
He was ruled out at halftime with what the team called soreness in his left leg. The Hornets went on to lose 114-104 to the Nets.
A worrying moment
The trouble came with 6:12 left in the first quarter. Knueppel was dribbling up the floor when he lost the ball out of bounds. He grimaced and looked to be favoring his left leg.
Knueppel first hurt the hamstring during on-court work in the offseason. He sat out the entire preseason along with the first eight games of the regular season.
A building block
The second-year guard is a big part of Charlotte's plans after a strong rookie season. He led the NBA in 3-pointers made and finished second to Cooper Flagg in rookie of the year voting.
His return came one game after Coby White made his own season debut. White had been sidelined by an offseason calf injury.
The Hornets did not give a timeline for Knueppel after the game.
