Kevin Hart's former assistant wants the woman from his 2017 tape scandal on the witness stand
Miesha Shakes, who is fighting Hart over a nondisclosure agreement, reportedly wants Montia Sabbag to testify about the 2017 controversy and the investigation that followed.

A years-old scandal may resurface in Kevin Hart's legal fight with his former assistant.
According to court filings described in reports Wednesday, Miesha Shakes wants to call Montia Sabbag as a witness. Sabbag was the woman at the center of the 2017 sex tape controversy involving the comedian and Shakes reportedly wants to ask her about that episode and the investigation that came after it.
How the case started
Hart sued Shakes, alleging she broke a nondisclosure agreement by discussing his private life in an interview with a blogger. Shakes has pushed back, reportedly arguing that Hart failed to meet his own obligations under the deal and that the agreement should be considered void.
Hart's side says Shakes damaged his reputation. Shakes counters that his public image had already taken hits over the years and she points to the 2017 scandal as one example. That argument appears to be why she wants Sabbag to testify.
The earlier lawsuit
Sabbag sued Hart in 2019 for $60 million, alleging she was recorded during a sexual encounter without her consent. Hart denied wrongdoing and that case was later dismissed.
Shakes has said she plans to testify herself and to call Hart as a witness, according to the filings. The case remains ongoing and no trial date was mentioned in the reports.
