Kate Gosselin is leaning on her fans. The former reality star is thanking supporters online after her son Collin published a memoir full of claims against her.
A TikTok comment section turns into a battleground
Kate recently shared a TikTok about her dog. After Collin's book "In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood" came out Tuesday, critics poured into the comments to go after her.
Plenty of commenters were out for blood. Others took her side. Some said they believe Collin is being steered by other people. Several told Kate she is a great mother.
Kate's replies
Kate wrote back to one supporter that she was grateful. She said rational people or anyone who has lived through mental illness can see what is happening.
In another reply she agreed with a fan and said she had no part in it beyond giving consent because it was medically necessary.
The claims in the book
Collin's memoir accuses his mom of tying him up with zip ties. He also alleges she hit him when he did not act the way she wanted on camera.
Kate has long denied ever abusing Collin physically or verbally.
